Beware of Domain Registrar Phishing

We have recently been made aware that several of you have received email messages that look like they are from Network Solutions stating that your domain name information is invalid and your domain will expire “soon”. These messages are phishing attempts and should be examined carefully. Network Solutions is typically very consistent about never springing an expiration email about a domain at the last minute, you will usually receive 90, 60, 30 days warning messages. Urgency is a red flag indicator of a phishing attempt in an email. Today marks the launch of the completely new web site redesign for Aeroquip Credit Union. The new site is built on our SiteControl Content Management System making it a huge step forward in usability and content organization. It also brings full site search, RSS feeds, pretty URLs, and more to the table. Special thanks to Diane from McQueen Financial Advisors for her hard work on the content for the new site.

Embedding YouTube Videos With SiteControl

SiteControl Clients: Did you know that you can embed YouTube videos into any post or page? Here’s a quick how-to.

First, you need to have the Smart YouTube plugin enabled. Don’t worry, every SiteControl installation we do comes with this plugin, its only a matter of turning it on. Simply log in to SiteControl as you normally do and click “Plugins” on the top right. Then, find Smart YouTube in the list and enable it. If you do not have access to your plugins menu simply let us know and we can either grant you access to the plugins or turn it on for you.

Smart YouTube will allow you to embed any video from YouTube using one simple line of code: the URL of the video. However, there’s a catch: instead of “http://” before the link, you will need to modify the URL to read “httpv://” or “httpvh://” (the latter will display the video in high-quality if there is a high-quality version available).

Here’s an example using the “Mica Minute” video:

Using Twitter as a CU

Once the plugin is enabled, simply copy and paste the following into the post or page where you want the video to appear:
