I just thought this was interesting. MyFonts.com has an article about some font designers. The first article is about Matthew Carter. From the article:

Matthew Carter is probably the most widely read type designer in the world. His fonts, such as Verdana and Georgia, are on most people’s computers.

Verdana and Georgia are two of the very few web fonts and are used everyday. I just think that is neat.
