The Union Credit Union: New Name, New Look

The Union Credit Union, formerly known as Inland Empire Trades Credit Union, had a bit of a makeover to coincide with its name change last month. The new design was conceptualized by JayRay, a communications consultancy firm out of Tacoma, WA, and implemented by our web services team.

Internet Explorer 8 final to arrive by the end of 2008

I know, we just encouraged everyone to upgrade to IE7 (here, here and here), but this is the Web and things change fast. The good news is Microsoft is not really known for actually hitting deadlines.

From Ars Technica, a Senior VP at Microsoft announced in a Financial Analyst Meeting that IE8 will ship by year end. And we are expecting a Beta 2 sometime next month.

Safe Harbor Redesign

Today marks the launch of the redesigned Safe Harbor Credit Union website. The SiteControl based site features several forms utilizing the CFormsII plugin to allow visitors to interact with the site.  A special feature is a quiz for visitors to the new site.  Visitors with correct responses will be entered in a drawing for prizes!  Missy from Safe Harbor did a great job on the content for the site.  Her enthusiasm for the project really helped it come together.

WARNING: Zero Day UPS tracking # Trojan/Virus

A new zero-day Trojan horse/virus email is circulating the Internet. It has a subject line like “UPS Tracking Number XXXXXX” and has a zip attachment containing an executable, which if run will do very bad things. This trojan is so new anti-virus filters are not yet detecting it.
